Most expense apps want you to pick a category from a long list, choose an account, set a date and add notes, just to record a ₹40 chai. So people stop using them within a week.
HisaabRakho is built around one idea: you should be able to log a spend faster than you can forget it. You type the amount, then a few words the way you would say it out loud: “sent to rahul”, “paid for dinner”, “swiggy”. It works out whether that was a spend, money you sent, money you borrowed or money you lent, and who it was with.
Made for how India pays
Money here moves through UPI, and a lot of it moves between friends and family: udhaar, splitting a bill, sending a little extra for a cousin. So HisaabRakho tracks people as well as categories, keeps a running balance with each person, and lets you scan a UPI QR and pay from the same flow where you logged it.
UPI apps don't tell other apps whether a payment worked, so we don't pretend to know. A payment you start is kept as pending until you confirm it, so your totals only ever count what really happened.
